Chelsea FC can confirm that Thibaut Courtois’s loan deal with Atletico Madrid has been extended for a further 12 months.
The young goalkeeper impressed during his time with the Spanish club last season, making 52 appearances and ending the season with a Europa League winners’ medal, playing the full 90 minutes as Atletico beat Athletic Bilbao 3-0 in the final.
